Farming Advisor/Agricultural Consultant - East Anglia / South West / Nationwide - Up to £45,000 + Great Benefits


We have an exciting opportunity for a Farming Advisor/Agricultural Business Advisor to join one of our many prestigious clients, all leaders in the farming and agribusiness sector. As an advisor/consultant, you will be responsible for providing consultancy services to farming businesses, assisting with budget planning, grant applications, and agricultural schemes such as BPS, CSS, and SFI. You will also manage client relationships, offer soil and nutrient planning advice, and explore new market opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for agriculture and a drive to contribute to the success of clients while helping to grow the business.


Role:

  • Implement a ‘value-added’ approach throughout the business.
  • Identify and explore new market opportunities for products and services.
  • Assist with grant applications, BPS/CSS, and the new SFI scheme.
  • Manage budget and cashflow planning for clients.
  • Provide soil, manure, and nutrient planning consultancy.
  • Contribute to the management of membership benefits and services.
  • Act as the key point of contact for key clients.
  • Identify gaps in current client offerings and introduce new opportunities or skills.
  • Collaborate with the wider team and external clients to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist with ongoing projects and provide a range of consultancy services to farming businesses.


Salary:

  • Up to £45,000 per year (DOE)

Skills:

  • Experience in agricultural consultancy or a related field.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of grant applications and agricultural schemes like BPS/CSS and SFI.
  • Proficient in budget and cashflow planning.
  • Ability to contribute to soil, manure, and nutrient planning.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to a wide range of tasks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
