Position Overview:

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the skills required to become a successful 360 Recruitment Consultant specialising in temporary/contract placements within our specialist markets. You will work closely with experienced consultants and support them in various aspects of the recruitment cycle. This role will provide valuable training and hands-on experience to kick-start your career in recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Sourcing: Learn various methods to identify and attract skilled candidates within civil engineering design for temporary/contract roles. This includes utilising job boards, online platforms, networking events, and referrals.


Candidate Screening and Assessment: Assist in conducting initial candidate interviews, skills assessments, and reference checks to evaluate their suitability for temporary/contract positions in civil engineering design.


Job Advertising and Marketing: Learn to create compelling job descriptions and advertisements to attract qualified candidates for temporary/contract roles in civil engineering design. Support the marketing efforts to promote open positions and our recruitment services.


Client Relationship Management: Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their temporary/contract staffing needs and project requirements. Learn to effectively communicate with clients to provide updates on candidate availability and progress.


Candidate Management: Support the management of the candidate experience, including initial contact, interview preparation, feedback, contract negotiations, and onboarding. Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout their temporary/contract assignments.


Business Development: Learn to identify and engage potential clients in the civil engineering design industry. Support the efforts to promote our temporary/contract recruitment services by attending industry events, conferences, and networking functions.


Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and changes in legislation affecting temporary/contract employment within civil engineering design. Use this knowledge to advise clients on market conditions, rates, and best practices.


Administrative Tasks: Ensure accurate and up-to-date record keeping of candidate and client interactions, contract details, timesheets, and other relevant information within our recruitment management system.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of our recruitment processes, tools, and strategies to improve efficiency and deliver outstanding service to clients and candidates.


Qualifications and Skills:

Degree Qualified is preferred, but not essential.

A passion to build a strong knowledge of Town Planning and Building Control concepts, principles, and terminology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships with candidates and clients.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision-making processes.

Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Analytical mindset and attention to detail, ensuring accurate candidate assessment and selection.
