DEPARTMENT:  Business Systems/Corporate

LOCATION: Royal Life Saving Society UK HQ, Worcester

REPORTS TO: Head of Business Systems and IT

SALARY:  £37,298.00 (Grade B)


ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the RLSS UK. Working closely with internal stakeholders across all levels, this role will play a pivotal role in defining objectives, deliverables, and the development of comprehensive project plans. 

                   

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

  • Develop project plans that outline objectives, scope and timelines and identify required resource
  • Monitor projects progress against milestones, tracking KPI’s and identifying potential unforeseen challenges
  • Implement, and maintain, project management software to provide up-to-date progress against projects
  • Continued commitment to deliver transparent communication to relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and expectations
  • Facilitate meetings between stakeholders, staff and suppliers
  • Take notes and assigned actions from meetings and ensure completion of agreed actions
  • Provide consistent reporting to the line manager and relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the required success criteria by implementing and (and then maintaining) quality assurance processes
  • Implement and maintain change management procedures to ensure uptake/success of delivered projects to both internal and external customers
  • Upon completion of projects, evaluate success against initial objectives and provide feedback and lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement
  • Ensure projects are delivered to budget
  • To support or create business proposals across the organisation


General

  • Foster and maintain relationships with key staff, stakeholders etc…
  • To always demonstrate and uphold the Society’s values and behavioural standards. 
  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 by complying with internal information governance policies and maintaining up to date documentation as part of RLSS UK’s compliance programme.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes

  • Significant, demonstrable experience in an equivalent role
  • Previous experience in relevant Project Management software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to influence across all levels of management
  • Strong IT knowledge and skills with the M365 suite of applications
  • Able to work under your own initiative
  • Willing to learn, grow, and share new skills and knowledge with the team
  • Highly motivated and driven to deliver results through effective teamwork
  • Ability to successfully organise and manage time effectively
  • A keen eye for detail


Essential Qualifications and/or Training

  • PRINCE2 (or equivalent)


Desirable Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes

  • Knowledge and understanding of RLSS UK
