Group Finance Manager

Leading International Brewery and Hospitality Establishment

£60K/yr-£65,000/yr

Based: Bedfordshire (Hybrid)


A leading client of ours is expanding their finance operations across a variety of business units. Their main focus is crafting great pub experiences and brewing the best beer in the region.


In order to facilitate wider expansion within the business, they're looking for a Group Finance Manager to come on board, ideally with a strong background in finance management, audit compliance and reporting. The role holder will report directly into the Group Financial Controller therefore they are looking for someone with strong communication and leadership qualities as you'll be responsible for the core accounting division while also having the confidence and experience to manage financial strategies to support their future goals.


The ability to engage and influence key stakeholders is vital with a deeper view of providing the best in service customer experience and this role will give you raw exposure to business projects to other divisions of the business.


Key Deliverables:


  • Effectively manage a team of 3 direct reports and ensure all objectives are achieved.
  • Timely completion of month-end's with precise reporting
  • Amalgamation of group budget/forecasts with respect to month-end processes
  • Work closely with the Group FC with a big emphasis on strategic planning
  • Variance analysis, corporate month-end management accounts, and preparation of statutory accounts in line with regulatory procedures.
  • Analysis including commentary, and processing balance sheet reconciliations is vital
  • Utilize your skill set within accounting systems, especially NAV as you'll be analysing data flow to see what works best with current processes and whether they require any changes.


About you:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified, ideally within a Top Chartered Accountancy Firm OR 3-5 years PQE in Industry
  • Have an interest and understanding of how a Hospitality business operates
  • Solid experience of month end process and knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements of accounts preparation and experience of consolidations
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Dynamics/Navision with the ability to adapt quickly to constantly changing surroundings.
