Full Job Description: Senior Sales Manager/ Business Development Manager

We are on the lookout for a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of success in the ecommerce sector to assume the pivotal role of Senior Sales Manager. This is a hybrid working, around 2 days per week in Manchester Office. Base Salary £45,000 to £60,000 (dependent on experience) plus healthy commission. What we're looking for. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional new business generation skills and also be able to create exceptional ongoing business customer relationships, that they will also assist in growing a nourishing, a deep understanding of ecommerce technologies and marketing strategies, and a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and an ongoing input into the sales team management.. Must have good experience of selling via Teams, Zoom or similar.   • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to foster business growth and market expansion within the ecommerce domain.
  • Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with key clients and industry partners, harnessing existing networks while actively exploring fresh opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation and prospecting to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for clients.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with corporate objectives.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for optimisation and enhancement, furnishing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Remain abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape, proactively adapting sales strategies to capitalise on market trends and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior sales roles, preferably within the ecommerce sector, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and surpassing sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and secure new business opportunities from inception to closure, navigating the entire 360-degree sales process proficiently.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and galvanise a high-performing sales team.
  • Profound understanding of ecommerce technologies, website development, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, fostering rapport and credibility with clients across all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a proven ability to craft and execute effective sales plans and strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
