📣 Our client, a growing recruitment group, is seeking a Finance Controller to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys shaping processes, systems, and reporting. Reporting directly into the Finance Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making throughout the contract period.🔑 Role OverviewOur client is looking for someone who can confidently lead day-to-day finance operations while driving continual improvement across the finance function. You’ll also take ownership of monthly group consolidation across multiple entities — a key part of the role.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily finance operations: AP, AR, payroll, and bankingPrepare monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and board packsLead budgeting and planning cycles, providing clear commercial insightComplete monthly group consolidation and intercompany reconciliationsMaintain strong financial controls, policies, and compliance standardsDrive improvements in financial systems, automation, and reporting processesLiaise with external accountants, auditors, and banking partners👀 About YouQualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with strong SME experienceEssential experience working with multi-entity structuresRecruitment sector experience is beneficial but not essentialCommercial, analytical, and confident engaging with stakeholdersHands-on, proactive, and comfortable in a dynamic environmentStrong systems capability (Xero/Sage or similar) with a process-improvement mindset💼 This roleA pivotal finance role working closely with the Finance DirectorA 12-month FTC with real influence over systems, reporting, and controlsSupportive, collaborative culture where your contribution is valuedCompetitive salary, benefits, and genuine autonomy
