Pension Consultant - Fully Remote Role


We are looking for an experienced Pensions Consultant to join our homebased DB consulting team. If you’re the type of person who wants to join a team managing and advising a portfolio of corporate and trustee clients - this could be the role for you


Job Description:

What will you deliver?

  • Develop excellent relationships with client portfolio and understand their needs and objectives
  • Makes a significant personal contribution to the development of the team’s consulting capability, collateral and people
  • Able to effectively communicate complex and technical issues to clients and colleagues
  • Identifies solutions and risks for clients based upon an expert understanding of their situation and relevant technical, regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Maintains a client focus and concern for quality, which manifests itself in a high degree of client satisfaction and client/business retention
  • Assists Head of DB Consulting & Scheme Management in achieving its practice objectives.


What are we looking for?

  • DB Pensions experience in a client facing role this can include Scheme Events, GMP Equalization, Buy In/Outs, Scheme Wind Up
  • You will have covered some or all of, scheme secretarial work, DB pensions projects, Consulting or actuarial project work
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • AIDB Technical Competencies

Key responsibilities

  • Provides a complete and professional support service to the Consultants, including preparation of draft communications, advice and papers produced within CEB guidelines
  • Assists with preparation of new client agreements and scopes of work to CEB standards
  • Monitors time recording throughout the team ensuring correct protocols are observed.
  • Manages the team invoicing process.


Experience, qualifications and key skills

Essential

  • Honours degree (2.1 or higher)
  • Excellent IT and organisational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and able to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive
  • Commercially aware
  • Works positively with colleagues and is able to manage workflow


Desirable

  • Good presentation skills (or ability to acquire such skills)
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Part qualified PMI
  • Project management experience and knowledge
