The European Amazon Logistics team is seeking an experienced innovative hands on and customer obsessed Sr Process Engineer to drive standardization and innovation in physical infrastructure layout and material flow across our Last Mile delivery network. As a member of the WW Amazon Logistics Process Engineering team you will be responsible for producing and refining process standards developing new products and processes building on current best practices for physical infrastructure and designing Amazon Logistics equipment that is used across the EU network and beyond. Infrastructure you develop will always be produced to meet safety customer experience capacity quality and cost goals. You will act as a key point of contact for your area of responsibility within the EU Amazon Logistics processes frequently partnering with leaders in the field as well as other operational support functions and your worldwide counterparts. The core process infrastructure ownership element of this role spans Delivery Station under-the-roof and On-the-Road operations. This position requires deep customer focus strong autonomy and exceptional project management skills. It will involve regular communication with executors and project sponsors at both the European and worldwide level and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable partnering across functional business and technical teams. To be successful in this role you need to pair strong analytical skills and a data-driven outlook with strong intuition. Key job responsibilities- Lead the design and development of new processes equipment process-flows Infrastructure across all processpaths with AMZL- Optimize existing processes/equipment and program manage the expansion of new processes/equipment from concept to deployment- Own and drive programs that improve capacity productivity safety and Ergonomics within Delivery Stations- Author and chair reports/ business case reviews to document project status and changes with senior leadership- Tracks metrics to identify areas of improvement across all processpaths- Communicate expansion status/project outputs and business reviews to senior leaders periodically- Creates strategy for long term roadmapA day in the lifeYour day could include engagement with all levels of the organization and multiple stakeholder groups to drive short mid and long term decisions that have impact on a large scale across the AMZL network. You would also be working with partners from Operations Process Improvement Health and Safety Ergonomics Finance Procurement and external vendors to design and deploy new equipment and processes for the multiple process paths in AMZL Delivery Stations. You will put in place mechanisms to track project success measure KPIs and build reports to provide visibility to senior leaders across the organization. We offer flexibility in working hours and encourage you to find your own balance between your work and personal lives.- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline- Experience in a similar process & product development role ideally in fast-paced industrial logistics or production/manufacturing environment - Experience in building and innovating processes and/or processing equipment in a relevant field - Proven Project Management experience- Putting together Business cases- Good Document writing capability- MBA MSc or MEng (Logistics Supply Chain Engineering Mathematics or equivalent)- Knowledge of other EU languages (German French Italian or Spanish advantageous)- Advanced data analysis skills Knowledge & ability to use standard design and development tools e.g. AutoCAD MS Visio- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders and the ability to work under pressure in a cross functional organization- High level of written verbal and interpersonal skillsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
