Location:AlfretonSalary:£60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)Summary: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fleet & Workshop Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operational efficiency of our client's fleet and workshop facilities. This is a key role ensuring that all company vehicles are safe, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with regulations, while leading a skilled team of workshop staff and drivers.Key Responsibilities: ? Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet and workshop. ? Manage the servicing, repair, and maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment. ? Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians. ? Ensure all vehicles meet safety and legal compliance requirements. ? Control budgets, manage suppliers, and negotiate with parts and service providers. ? Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and engineering activities. ? Drive continuous improvement across the fleet and workshop operation.Key Skills / Experience: ? Proven experience in fleet management and workshop supervision. ? Strong technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes, with addition of relevant qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ). ? Excellent understanding of transport regulations, H&S standards and compliance requirements. ? Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and deliver operational improvements. ? Proficient in fleet management systems and Microsoft Office applications. ? HGV licence and International CPC qualification (desirable but not essential).
