W&A is supporting an established and growing engineering business in Fife with the appointment of a Commercial Management Accountant to strengthen its commercial finance capability.Based on site, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with operational teams, providing timely and accurate financial insight to support decision-making across live contracts. The position suits a commercially minded accountant who enjoys building relationships beyond finance and gaining a deep understanding of how the business operates. The Opportunity This role acts as a key link between finance and operations, ensuring robust financial control, reporting and compliance across contracts. You will play an active role in supporting contract performance, improving processes and delivering high-quality financial information to both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts for individual contractsSupporting the preparation of annual budgets and forecastsDeveloping a strong understanding of contract regulations and requirementsProducing management reports for customers and internal stakeholdersEnsuring contract reports are completed accurately and to deadlineLiaising with customer contacts regarding audits and information requestsWorking closely with operational teams to ensure financial results reflect contract activitySupporting continuous improvement initiatives and best practiceEnsuring contract sales invoices are prepared and submitted accurately What You'll Bring Fully or nearly newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Experience in a management accounting roleStrong communication skills with the confidence to work closely with non-finance stakeholdersA proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities in a contract-led environment Package Benefits Hybrid working model (3 days onsite)Exposure to commercially focused, contract-based accountingSupportive and collaborative working environmentOnsite parking and good public transport links Why This Role?
