As a General Practitioner you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care to patients from all backgrounds. Your responsibility will include diagnosing conditions developing treatment plans and promoting wellness within a collaborative and supportive environment. This position emphasizes patient-centered care professional growth and a strong commitment to equity in healthcare.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive medical care to patients across all age groups managing acute illnesses chronic conditions and preventive health needs.Assess diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions with a focus on patient education and empowerment.Coordinate and facilitate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare services as needed.Prescribe medications and treatments while ensuring patient understanding of use risks and benefits.Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient medical records in alignment with confidentiality and compliance standards.Advocate for health equity by understanding and addressing social determinants of health in patient care.Engage in regular communication and build strong rapport with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Participate in professional development opportunities staying informed on medical advancements and evidence-based practices.QualificationsMedical Degree (MBBS MD DO or equivalent) with active and unrestricted licensure to practice medicine.Certification or Fellowship in General Practice (e.g. MRCGP FRACGP ABFM or equivalent is preferred).Proven experience working as a General Practitioner in a clinical setting.Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills with a strong emphasis on preventive care.Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (EHR/EMR) for documentation and care management.Commitment to providing equitable inclusive and culturally competent care to individuals from diverse communities.Strong interpersonal communication and empathy skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to patient needs in a fast-paced environment.Day-to-dayConduct thorough patient consultations to develop personalized care plans targeting health optimization.Assess physical and mental health issues and follow up with patients to ensure continuity of care.Perform minor procedures or treatments within the scope of general practice.Collaborate with nurses allied health professionals and other team members to deliver holistic patient care.Monitor patient progress update treatment strategies as needed and maintain health records.Respond to acute care needs such as minor injuries infections or urgent concerns.Educate patients on wellness preventive healthcare measures and lifestyle modifications tailored to individual needs.Attend team meetings participate in case discussions and engage in quality improvement initiatives.
