THE ROLE


This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing bespoke legal advice to individuals, families, and business owners on managing and preserving wealth. You will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate complex issues such as wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate, while contributing to the growth of Sumer Law's private client services.


Key responsibilities:


  • Drafting and reviewing wills to reflect clients' wishes and protect their interests.
  • Advising on and establishing trusts to safeguard assets and manage wealth effectively.
  • Estate and inheritance tax planning, ensuring efficient tax structures and compliance.
  • Handling the administration of estates, including probate applications and asset distribution.
  • Providing wealth protection and succession planning advice, tailored to individual and family needs.
  • Collaborating with accountants and financial advisors within the Sumer Group to deliver holistic client solutions.
  • Supporting the development of the private client practice, helping to attract new clients and grow the business.


ABOUT YOU


Skills and experience:


  • Qualified and experienced Private Client solicitor
  • Demonstrated ability to develop lasting relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families, fostering trust and client loyalty.
  • Expertise in drafting wills, trusts, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture strong client relationships, identify opportunities for cross-selling services, and attract new clients to expand the Private Client portfolio.
  • Experience working with SME clients, providing consultative and commercially aware advice.
  • Proven success in identifying and securing new private client work, including referrals from accountants, financial advisors, and other professional contacts.
  • Experience in managing probate and estate administration processes efficiently and accurately.
