Overview of company:

Founded in April 2020, Our Client quickly established itself as a specialist communications and engagement company, operating exclusively in the planning, energy and infrastructure sectors.


It supports local and international companies on the delivery of major projects such as wind farms, solar farms, battery energy storage projects, hydrogen projects, commercial office schemes and hospitality developments. The company also support clients on key policy issues at Stormont, the Dail Eireann and Westminster; and advise on corporate PR and media relations.

Strategy:

With an ambitious growth plan and increasing pipeline of significant projects and clients, our client is focused on growing its team to develop the best specialist public affairs, PR and stakeholder engagement offering in Northern Ireland. The business is also in the early stages of establishing offices in England and Scotland.

In the news because? Recent projects?

The clients and projects are often high profile and news worthy. Recently, these have included helping to achieve planning approval for a luxury hotel development on the North Coast, Kainos' new HQ in Belfast, Queen's University student accommodation on Dublin Road, Belfast and three of the biggest battery energy storage schemes permitted in NI.


The company has a particular speciality in renewable energy development and sustainable infrastructure and is currently advising on several major projects across Northern Ireland.

Location of role:

Belfast city centre

Travel required?

Travel is required throughout Northern Ireland and may include short visits to GB/ROI. Occasionally, the candidate will be required to work outside normal working hours depending on the project and client requirements

Requirement:

  • Experience in pre-application community consultation on major development projects
  • Experience in writing/overseeing the production of statutory pre-application community consultation reports
  • Experience in political lobbying and stakeholder engagement in Northern Ireland
  • Experience in PR
  • Experience in the energy sector an advantage but not essential


Current team structure:

Successful candidate will be joining the business at an early stage, reporting directly to the sole Director/owner of the business. They will have a high level of autonomy, with opportunities to establish and grow a team; and advance their own career within the company as the business grows.

Salary and benefits:

£50k - £60k DOE

Three days per week in office/ 2 days wfh

8.30am - 5.30pm Mon - Thurs/ 8.30am - 2.30pm Fri
