Senior Marketing Communications and PR Director

VANRATH is pleased to be assisting a large and well-established Public Sector Organisation in Belfast with the recruitment of a Senior Marketing Communications and PR Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the organisation's marketing, communications, and PR strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels to enhance the public profile, engage stakeholders, and manage media relations and crisis communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication plans aligned with organisational goals
  • Act as primary media contact, preparing press releases, statements, and interviews
  • Build relationships with media outlets
  • Oversee social media, website, and email marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics
  • Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders and ensure effective communication
  • Manage and mentor the communications team

Requirements:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior marketing/PR role
  • Strong media relations and digital marketing expertise
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Public sector experience and understanding of Government communications
