Product Engineering Technical Manager

If you’re passionate about technical excellence, clean architecture, and building technology that makes a real difference to people’s lives, we want to hear from you.What You’ll DoOwn the technical leadership and architecture of our CarePilot, Connected Care initiative setting the vision and ensuring scalability, performance, and securityWork closely with the Product Manager to shape the roadmap, balancing technical excellence with commercial impactLead, mentor, and inspire a multi-disciplinary engineering squad (Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Design, Data Engineers, etc.) including line-management of the Software EngineersChampion clean code, scalable design patterns, and best practices across the full SDLCWrite and review high-quality, testable C# .NET code (frontend and backend)Collaborate with product and DevOps teams to build robust, maintainable, and monitorable softwareProduce clear, high-quality architectural documentation and technical designsDrive continual improvement of development processes and foster a culture of technical excellenceWhat You’ll BringProven technical leadership experience for a substantial SaaS productExtensive experience in enterprise software development, with expertise in C# .NET (preferably .NET 9/10) and MS SQL Server (including entity framework, stored procedures and query optimisation)Strong architectural and design skills—able to produce clear documentation and own complex system designsFrontend and backend development experience, with exposure to Blazor, or similar frameworks a plusHands-on experience with Azure services (Kubernetes, Event Grid, Service Bus, Functions, SQL, Data Factory, Databricks, AML, AKS, Fabric)Experience building high-throughput, high-availability, multi-tenant solutionsExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a hybrid development teamCustomer-facing experience and the ability to translate technical decisions into business impact(Bonus) Experience in healthcare or social care technology, knowledge of compliance standards (ISO-27001, NHS DSPT), or SaaS product scalingWhat We OfferA base salary of £70,000 - £80,000 and bonus depending on experienceModern town centre offices in Guildford, with opportunity for ad hoc home working25 days holidayContributory pension schemeAdditional perks including; cycle to work scheme, staff discounts portal and Employee Assistance ProgrammeAt Person Centred Software, we’re leading the digital revolution in social care.
