Shopper Marketing Manager | De’Longhi Group (De’Longhi, Kenwood and Braun) | Kenwood Global Headquarters, Havant, Hampshire | £Competitive + excellent benefits package
Shape the future of Shopper Marketing with De’Longhi Group
The closing date for applications is Monday 2nd September 2024
The De’Longhi Group is on a mission to drive ever-improving shopper experience into the heart of our operations, with an ambitious plan to step change our approach to shopper Marketing and deliver best in class execution.
We’re now seeking a passionate, skilled Shopper Marketing Manager to help develop strategy and deliver activities in support of our plan. The importance of this role is not lost on the business: if you’re successful in your application, your appointment will be greeted with huge excitement as you join a friendly team with a shared desire to grow and change supported by this important function.
The role
As a central point of contact for our retail customers, national account team and marketing team, you’ll drive collaboration across this matrix of contacts to deliver your Shopper Marketing Plan. You’ll analyse the shopper environment, leverage customer and shopper insight to create informed plans and smartly execute Shopper Marketing activity.
This is an operational leadership role where you’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering execution of strategy through teams, and, importantly, measuring activity and evaluating so you can feed your findings into future plans.
Success in this role means retailers perceive De’Longhi Group as the category leader for Shopper Marketing, with a data-driven approach to converting shoppers in our channels and best practice that can be shared across the De’Longhi Group.
This role reports to the Marketing Director of UK & IRE
Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Partnering with Category Marketing Managers and National Account Managers to design and implement shopper/channel activation strategies for brands that align with overarching brand, business and account objectives.
Leading and overseeing the execution of shopper/channel activation plans across traditional trade, retailer.com, and retailer apps to maximise brand visibility in both online and offline channels, driving sales growth.
Collaborating with sales, marketing and category marketing to ensure the seamless integration and execution of marketing plans.
Serving as the Subject Matter Expert for Shopper Marketing, providing strategic guidance and insights.
Leading coaching and building the capability of the team, fostering an environment of constant change and growth in Shopper Marketing.
About you
You’ll need a compelling track record delivering best-in-class shopper or retail marketing (or a closely-related discipline) with a degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration or similar.
Your role will involve some competitor benchmarking and building compelling stories for our retail partners, clearly articulating the value we add to their business. As such you’ll be an outstanding communicator and storyteller, skilled at articulating the benefit that our brand and products bring to retailers.
You’ll need the drive and commitment to help us accelerate Shopper Marketing, and a natural enthusiasm and joy for the role is a must. To execute your plans you’ll need to exert influence across multiple teams, so you’ll be an excellent collaborator who is comfortable in a matrix environment.
You’ll be managing and coaching a small team so you’ll be confident, self-assured and able to build trust for your vision of shopper marketing. With a cool head under pressure, you’ll be able stand your ground as you make changes within our retail channels, and you’ll be unfazed by continual change.
You’ll be proficient, or able to quickly master retailer.com platforms, apps and technologies, such as BazaarVoice and Citrus Ad, and comfortable working with digital tools such as paid media, CRM, SEO, SEM, PPC etc. Experience of retail media is highly desirable.
What’s in it for you?
This role is critical to De’Longhi Group realising our vision for shopper marketing and delivering world class execution in our channel, so you’ll make a big impact. Our work environment and
investment into staff is outstanding, and our extensive benefits include:
Competitive incentivised salary
Excellent contributory pension
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Superb subsidised restaurant
Free on-site parking
Flexible benefits package
Access to a range of wellbeing activities and events
About us
De’Longhi Group is home to the De'Longhi, Kenwood and Braun Household brands—all pioneering kitchen and home appliance brands that are internationally recognised and respected. The De'Longhi Group, headquartered in Treviso, Italy, has international operations in more than 30 countries.
The location
Your reporting office will be Kenwood’s global HQ on the beautiful South Coast between Portsmouth and Chichester, where our products are conceived and tested, and where our UK De’Longhi division is based. We operate a flexible, hybrid working model: you’ll typically work three days at our office, client sites and two at home. You should live within commuting distance, and since you’ll travel regularly to retail customers in the UK, you must have a driver’s licence.
