OverviewAt Change Grow Live we strive to ensure our services are warm and welcoming environments. Working within the Be Smoke Free Manchester service as a Specialist Stop Smoking Advisor you will be a vital part of the team. You will provide a high-quality stop smoking service across Manchester. This will be delivered through a range of interventions from brief advice and information to structured programmes with the aim being to support people to quit tobacco and live a healthier life. The interventions will be delivered face to face in the community and/or remotely on an individual or group basis and will include motivational interviewing techniques and the dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Therapies.You would report directly to a Tobacco Addiction Specialist Nurse and would work alongside them and the community engagement team to build relationships in the local community and provide a service that is non-judgemental supportive and client-led to deliver these interventions to smokers in order for them to progress on their quit journey towards a healthier happier lifeWhere: ManchesterHours: Full time 37.5h per weekFull time Salary*: 25077.00 - 26502.53Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate must have an understanding of human behaviour in relation to smoking. Be able to carry out assessments and deliver interventions matched to identified needs.
