Responsibilities of the Year 5 Teacher:

  • As a Year 5 Teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care and academic progress of your class creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to Year 5 pupils focusing on each childs individual learning targets encouraging their strengths and supporting their areas for growth.
  • Developing foundational skills in literacy and numeracy through wellstructured and differentiated lessons as a Year 5 Teacher.
  • Promoting social and emotional development fostering confidence teamwork and a love of learning in your Year 5 classroom.
  • Monitoring pupils progress providing constructive feedback and communicating with parents regarding their childs achievements as a Year 5 Teacher.

Suitable Applicants Must Have:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications (QTS preferred) and experience with Key Stage 2 ideally in Year 5 Teacher roles.
  • The ability to engage and inspire young learners as a Year 5 Teacher creating a positive classroom environment.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to proactively lead a Year 5 class.
  • The flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of Year 5 students.
