The Company: An established seed business. The Job Role: As Key Account Manager, you will create, agree, and implement clear plans for maximising and sustaining margin and royalty income from agricultural accounts, using agreed sales and marketing tactics. You will build and maintain a highly effective industry network to achieve the plans. You will be recognised in the industry as a trusted and valued partner and always operate by company values. Have excellent technical knowledge of the company Agricultural portfolio. Collaborate with the Coordination, Marketing, Technical and Operations teams to commercialise new products. Be active in your own personal development within the company. Location:Lincolnshire based with travel across the UK. (Some overseas travel will also be required).Salary Package:£40,000 - £50,000 basic salary depending on skills and experience + Company Car + Benefits. Key Responsibilities: Create, agree, and implement clear plans for maximising income from Agricultural accounts. Working with your line manager and Operations Division, build and deliver pricing terms for retail and royalty products. Ensure that multi-year sales and royalty targets agreed with your line manager are achieved, developing all available market opportunities. Create Key Account Management plans for major customers. Collaborate with your line manager and the wider team to ensure plans are achievable and approved. Update and communicate these where relevant to business. Maintain a high level of commercial and technical expertise, and professional qualifications, to ensure respect and effectiveness in the industry. Participate in all sales and marketing activities including open days, conferences, briefings, internal and external meetings. Contribute to maintaining the Agriculture Department's presence in social media and other marketing media. Become proficient with the company operating and reporting systems. Work to a customer-centric ethos including significant travel in the UK and Europe, which may occur outside standing working hours. Proactively work with other teams across the business. Candidate Requirements: Qualifications: Degree in relevant subject or equivalent by experience. BASIS (Seed Sellers) qualification is desirable but not essential. NIAB Crop Inspector license is desirable but not essential.Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Significant experience working in agriculture. Significant sales/key account management experience. Outstanding commercial awareness. Excellent networking and relationship building skills. Excellent attention to detail. Communication, Collaboration and Negotiation skills Excellent literacy and numeracy skills. Effective IT skills including Microsoft Office and SharePointWho You Are: Highly driven to achieve personal and business success, meeting, and wherever possible exceeding agreed targets. Someone with strong technical understanding and sales skills, able to use both to full advantage in this technical market. Someone who can build and capitalize on strong business relationships and networks. Someone who understands the company values and proactively tries to live by them at work. Someone who is passionate and able to keep up to date with the industry in which they work. Someone who is interested in continuous improvement and making processes as efficient and cost effective as possible. Someone who is keen on continuous professional development (for both them and any direct reports). Someone who takes health and safety seriously and leads by example.
