Job Title: Legal Cashier / Accounts Manager Location: Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes Salary: Competitive – Dependent on Experience Permanent | Full-Time: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:15pm Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier / Accounts Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the accounts department within a busy and well-established law firm based in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes. This is a key role, overseeing all legal finance functions while leading the accounts team and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Maintain the firm’s accounts in full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Law Society/QS practice management standards. Manage client account, office account and purchase ledger, including bank reconciliations, bank payments, billing and financial queries. Produce month-end accounts and prepare monthly management reports. Oversee year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants. Prepare the audit file and liaise with auditors regarding partnership accounts and the SRA Accountants’ Report. Administer monthly payroll and pension arrangements. Complete periodic VAT returns.
