Technical Business Analyst3 Month ContractLocation: Home BasedRate: £500 - £550 per day (Outside IR35)We are looking to recruit a Technical Business Analyst for a police force to support several critical system implementation and upgrade projects as part of a wider digital transformation programme.This role will combine business analysis and high-level technical design, providing hands-on support with requirements gathering, impact assessments, and the production of high-level design and solution documentation. You'll work closely with project managers, team leads, and technical specialists to ensure proposed solutions are well defined, practical, and aligned with business needs.This be considered for this role valid NPPV3 clearance is required.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering across technical and operational teams.Perform analysis of existing systems, data flows, and integrations to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.Produce high-level designs, solution outlines, and technical documentation to support implementation and delivery.Define non-functional requirements and document architectural considerations (security, retention, compliance, etc.).Support multiple system upgrades and integrations, helping to alleviate demand on internal technical leads.Provide structured analysis and design input to projects involving key operational systems.Contribute to gap analysis and high-level assessments for future technology roadmaps.Experience & SkillsProven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar hybrid role involving technical design.Active NPPV3 clearance (or transferable) is essential.Strong understanding of Microsoft-centric environments and enterprise applications.Experience with or knowledge of systems such as Cellebrite, CoreVet, Clue, or Niche is desirable but not essential.Demonstrable ability to produce high-quality documentation including high-level designs, data flow diagrams, and decision logs.Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.Previous experience working within the public sector, policing, or similarly regulated environments is advantageous.
