Projects in development, construction, or operation in the UK and Ireland, include more than:60 major thermal power plants, across the waste, biomass, and conventional power sectors10 GWh of battery storage5 GW of solar7 GW of on-shore and off-shore wind5 GWh of pumped storage hydro projects20 carbon capture projects, aiming to capture and permanently sequestrate more than 5 million tonnes of CO2 per annumWe have over 180 employees that we are proud to have represent us, operating from our offices in Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow and from sites spread across the UK and Ireland.We are now looking to recruit a experienced engineering planner, in a permanent capacity, to support ongoing project roles in the delivery of major power generation infrastructure projects and support the continuous improvement of the services we provide to our clients.We are looking for:A high calibre candidate with most of the following skills or experience:A HND or degree in engineering or project management (essential).Be north west England based and willing to work in the Stockport, Greater Manchester office for the majority of any working week.Experience gained with medium to large power generation or rail projects is desirable.Development and analysis of complex project programmes and schedules.Experience of the full lifecycle of a major project, not just partial exposure.Project management software including Primavera P6.Probability analysis e.g. Monte Carlo and Primavera risk analysis.Best practises for assessing, recording, and reporting progress including leading and lagging KPI’s.Critical path and delay analysis techniques.Awareness of claims management and standard forms of contracts.Strong analytical skills.Excellent people and communication skills.Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI.Full right to live and work in the UK without any visa restrictions.A current driving licence for occasional travel to project sites in the UK and Ireland.We offer in return: Salary package, with leading bonus scheme of up to 20% of the agreed salary.Significant training, development, and career growth opportunities.Electric vehicle leasing scheme.Private medical & life assurance.Cycle to work scheme.Team and company social events.Milestone scheme celebrating years spent as part of the Fichtner team
