About the job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, complex commercial fit-out projects. As a senior team member, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring delivery excellence. This role requires strategic oversight, client-focused leadership, and a commitment to quality, safety, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Strategy & Oversight: Take strategic ownership of multiple, large-scale fit-out projects from pre-construction planning through to completion. Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, aligning them with company objectives and client needs.
  2. High-Level Client Management: Act as a senior representative with clients and stakeholders, managing high-level relationships and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Resolve escalated issues and manage complex project requirements.
  3. Financial Accountability: Provide advanced budget management for large-scale projects, including oversight of cost forecasts, cash flow, and profit margins. Ensure projects are delivered within financial targets and prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
  4. Resource & Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Site Managers, and support staff. Allocate resources effectively, identify skills gaps, and ensure professional development across your team.
  5. Risk & Compliance Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and manage all compliance aspects of projects, including Health and Safety, regulatory requirements, and environmental considerations. Develop and enforce rigorous safety protocols across all project sites.
  6. Operational Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes across all projects. Conduct frequent site audits, ensuring adherence to specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Act proactively to resolve any quality-related issues.
  7. Stakeholder Reporting & Analysis: Provide detailed reports and analysis to senior management and clients, highlighting project status, financials, and potential risks. Use insights from project data to recommend process improvements and strategic adjustments.
About You:

You will be an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a strong background in commercial fit-outs and complex project management. You'll be adept at managing teams, financials, and client relationships, with a strategic mindset and a results-driven approach.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Extensive experience as a Project Manager within the commercial fit-out industry, ideally with at least 5 years at a senior level.
  2. Strong financial management skills, with the ability to oversee and control multi-million-pound project budgets.
  3. Expertise in managing cross-functional teams, with strong mentoring and leadership skills.
  4. In-depth knowledge of building regulations, construction standards, and Health and Safety legislation.
  5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to handle complex client requirements and maintain high stakeholder satisfaction.
  6. Advanced proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
  7. Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
  8. SMSTS, First Aid, and other relevant certifications are essential.
