Six Degrees are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Finance Manager within a successful owner-managed business with a turnover of approximately £20 million. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in not only overseeing finances but also supporting the Directors in driving business growth.Key responsibilities include:Leading the finance department and collaborating with the management teamReviewing and optimising current processes, billing functions, and procurementManaging relationships with external stakeholders such as banks and lendersContributing to business growth and future strategy alongside the Managing DirectorRegularly updating KPIs, preparing financial reports, and monitoring cash flowWeekly financial monitoring informationCashflow forecastsDeveloping strategies to improve the timing of cash inflows and put in place stricter credit control procedures.Helping create company budgets for the different departments.Checking supplier invoices and cross checking against agreed contract prices where applicablePurchase invoices are approved and assigned to a job before signing offThe ideal candidate should be:- 'Qualified by experience' or hold a professional qualification such as ACMA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA- Experienced at a similar level in a fast-paced service sector- Skilled in improving KPIs, reporting, and systems- Possess strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and strategic thinking abilitiesThe PackageExcellent salary plus annual BonusPeople PensionFree ParkingAnnual leave 32 days inclusive of bank holidaysSome hybrid working - minimum 2-3 days a week onsite
