We now have exciting permanent opportunities for a motivated and suitably qualified Project Engineer - Nuclear Turbine to join our Technical Communities based in the South West of England. Join us and be part of making a valuable contribution to the mega-infrastructure, Nuclear New Build project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with various stakeholders to identify and resolve technical topics.
  • Ensure support for construction, erection, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor and resolve interface issues between HPC and suppliers.
  • Report on turbine area topics to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide a decisive escalation route for deadlocked issues and innovative solutions.
  • Manage technical risk and advocate for pragmatic decision-making.
  • Support engineering services for HPC with a focus on value engineering and optimization.


Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • A relevant degree in engineering or science. If relevant, you should have achieved or be working towards chartership in that discipline.
  • Broad experience in the nuclear industry including knowledge of nuclear safety cases and the regulatory environment.
  • Experience of engineering across different disciplines (e.g. Mechanical, Civil and Project).
  • Experience working with suppliers
  • Ability to lead complex technical/commercial topics with multiple stakeholders
  • A level of experience across the project lifecycle for a complex EPC project (including design, manufacture, construction/installation and commissioning)
