Date Posted:Country:United KingdomLocation:GBR02: Glenrothes Scotland Queensway Industrial Estate Glenrothes KY7 5PYPosition Role Type:UnspecifiedElectronics Lab EngineerLocation - GlenrothesContract- PermanentHours- Fulltime 37 hrsSummary of RoleEquipment and lab management with a wide range of duties.Manage the engineering departments labs test equipment calibration lab material stock control and support lab safety procedures.Support the build and test of product acceptance equipment including wiring and prototype assembly manufacture.The successful candidate will also be required to keep accurate test records carry out any maintenance tasks and aid other disciplines to improve overall cost and quality of product.This role includes:Equipment management calibration arrange repairs assist in sourcing equipment (for given Spec to purchase / hire) PATAssist engineers with test set-up wiring 3-phase plugs / sockets Test equipment software download / set-up Safety covers / boxesAssist engineers with Resistive load set-up Prototype Assembly / PCBs Cable repairs mechanical work wiring soldering crimpingAssist with: Test Dev buy-off STE assembly Earth bond testing; PoD / PoM testing routine testing such as HiPotAssist with risk assessment management review ECN sign-offAssist with COSHH management Sypol requests for new chemicalsAssist with management of equipment tools materials Sourcing (when required) orderingManage Contractors onsite calibration annual PATAssist with packing equipment / EXIM forms to ship eg EMC / EMI testingPerform functional testing of electronic assemblies to aid Design Verification and Qualification to support contractual quality and schedule requirements.Diagnose test equipment related faults.Execution of preventative maintenance and calibration plans for test equipment.Record accurate test records and provide requested yield & failure reports.Assist engineering with any ongoing investigations / initiatives.Aid the continual improvement of efficiency in designated test area(s).About YouWe think youll be a fit for this role if you have the majority of experience and qualifications below.
