**Job Title: CI&E Engineer - Warranty & Aftersales Location: Rosyth, Fife, GB, KY11 2YD Compensation: Salary range is indicative and automatically generated by LinkedIn from estimated data Role Type: Full time / Permanent Job ID:42329** Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an CI&E (Control, Instrumentation & Electrical) Aftersales Engineer to join our Liquefied Gas Equipment (LGE) Division. We design and supply cargo handling systems for liquefied gas ships across theglobe. LGE is an incredibly innovative and diverse business with patented designs working with LPG, LNG, Ethane, Ethylene and new projects with CO2. You'll be part of a large team of design, project, aftersales and commissioning engineers of multiple engineering skillsets. You will work closely with the CI&E and Projects Departments, the engineer provides warranty and aftersales support to our client'svessels both remotely from the office base, and as required through on board attendance during construction, in service and dry-docking contracts. **Who we are looking for?** You will have extensive CI&E experience some Issues could be; failed/faulty components which would need to be ordered and advice given to the client for installation, design failure which will need to be passed to the design team for rectification or youmay need to travel on-board a vessel to troubleshoot and fix the problem. The role will require you to travel extensively sometimes at short notice so you must have the flexibility to do this, however when not travelling the role is mainly office based (Rosyth) providing internal department support, and remote support to clients. You will also need to be able to deploy good communication and influencing skills as you'll work closely with the client and our internal and external stakeholders. **What will you be doing?** - Monitor incoming enquiries through the Warranty and AfterSales inboxes. Support the responsible Project, Warranty and AfterSales Engineers by investigating CI&E issues and providing trouble shooting advice to internal/external clients. Assist with nonCI&E correspondence internally within the department and externally with clients. - Maintain Project specific warranty spread sheets and correspondence folders from claim received to closure. - Build and maintain good working relations with the client and represent Babcock LGE in a professional manner - Help develop our product using experience gained from exposure to client issues. - Participate in the Continual Improvement Process (CIP) by providing feedback from vessel or factory attendance using RPI forms (Request for Process Improvement). - Trouble shoot or check returned "faulty" materials from vessels prior to returning to vendors. **The experience you'll bring** - Experience with PLC based Control Systems and programming. - Capable of working alone and to time constraints - You'll need to have a minimum of a HNC in Electrical/Electronic discipline. - Practical experience in marine environment as CI&E engineer (ideally in a commissioning environment) or equivalent, would be preferred. **What a role with Babcock offers?** - Generous holiday entitlement - Pension Plan - Access to make a difference for a sustainable environment for future - A tailored personal development and training programme. - Autonomy.
