Our client, a leading provider of education catering services since 2007, is seeking a talented and organised Head Chef Manager to join their dedicated team. With a presence in 85 schools across three counties, they pride themselves on delivering the highest quality meals to school children, using fresh, local ingredients.

As the Head Chef Manager, you will play a pivotal role, coordinating meal preparation for 5 schools with 4 menu options per day. This fast-paced role requires someone who can manage large numbers efficiently and maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Previous experience is essential
  • Proven experience in catering, particularly within the education sector
  • Exceptional organisational and logistical skills
  • Strong cooking abilities and knowledge of nutritional requirements for children
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Enhanced DBS check (to be undertaken by us)

What will your role look like?

  • Lead and manage a team of 4 kitchen staff with a calm and organised approach
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals
  • Utilise our client’s live, online ordering system for accurate meal planning
  • Maintain strict adherence to all allergy and dietary requirements
  • Participate in a Trade Test to demonstrate your culinary skills
