Altus Partners are working exclusively with a private equity backed Consumer Goods business, headquartered in North Yorkshire. Having recently received investment from a leading mid market Private Equity firm, our client are looking to implement a buy-and-build strategy as they increase their coverage. They are seeking for a Corporate Development Director to execute on the M&A transactions, and support with defining & implementing the long term strategic plan of the business.



THE ROLE:

  • Involvement in developing & leading the group growth strategy together with the senior management team
  • Develop and implement the group’s M&A strategy
  • Review, analyse and assess acquisition opportunities, including producing and reviewing financial models and acquisition rationale
  • Identify, analyse, and manage strategic partnerships and alliances, with other, third-party companies
  • Ensure pre-acquisition integration (and separation) planning is thorough and effective
  • Drive the overall corporate development deal pipeline, including outreach to and sourcing of new opportunities, JV’s etc.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with existing and potential investors
  • Work closely with C-Suite on key commercial projects and PE activity



THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ years’ experience working in a leading investment bank, M&A function or itop-tier consultancy
  • Strong modelling and financial / accounting skills, proficient in power point
  • Strategic, analytical and commercial thinker, as well as resourceful problem solver
  • Motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask across projects
  • Ability to work independently while communicating and developing strong working relationship with the teams
  • Previous experience of working for a Private Equity company or within Corporate Development is desired, but not essential
  • This role requires in-person office presence at their HQ in North Yorkshire
