Head of Supporter Engagement

We are looking for a Head of Supporter Engagement to join an ambitious and dynamic team at a leading Healthcare charity.

Position: Head of Supporter Engagement

Location: Cambridge/hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

Salary: circa £50,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

About the Role:

This is a brand-new position amid an exciting expansion phase As Head of Supporter Engagement, you will be committed to growing the charities active supporter database and their income generation across all individual giving supporter activity. You will recruit and look after all fundraisers and donors giving up to £10k. You will drive an ambitious step change in donor acquisition and donor experience, embedding a culture of innovation, business process, responsiveness, and ambitious growth.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have experience of revenue growth and leading a successful fundraising team within a nonprofit organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify innovative ways to recruit new givers, that are consistent with the overall strategy and brand.
  • Collaboration with Communications colleagues, to grow awareness of the charity and seize new opportunities to promote the impact of our charities work.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across fundraising to support income generation
  • for major campaigns.
  • Try and test new ideas and innovations across your sector
  • Evaluate donor behaviour, track trends in giving, and provide strategic insight to drive
  • our growth strategy.
  • Streamline and enhance donor stewardship.
  • Deploy new tactics and products to recruit and engage new supporters.
  • Create a culture of supporter care, growth, and focus.

  • Leadership experience at Senior Management Level.
  • Strives continually to drive change.
  • A curious but meticulous mind
  • A creative flair and experience in creative development and proven success in donor acquisition and/or donor development campaigns.
  • A leader who gets excellent results within agreed budgets and on schedule.
