1. Role Overview Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab on a frontier research project involving elite superforecasters and domain specialists. Were seeking quantitative finance expertsparticularly those with backgrounds in trading asset management or statistical modelingto contribute high-quality financial forecasts and structured reasoning. This engagement offers a unique opportunity to collaborate on improving AI prediction systems through data-driven insight. 2. Key Responsibilities Generate probabilistic forecasts on financial markets instruments and macro indicators Document quantitative reasoning models and relevant assumptions Analyze historical data and identify signals across asset classes Calibrate predictions with peers across economics and finance domains Contribute to the refinement of forecasting methodologies and inputs 3. Ideal Qualifications Background in quantitative finance trading economics or data science Experience with financial forecasting trading strategies or market modeling Familiarity with tools like Python R or Excel for data analysis and backtesting Participation in forecasting competitions (e.g. Numerai QuantConnect) a plus Strong written communication and analytical skills 4. More About the Opportunity Remote and asynchronous work on your own schedule Expected commitment: 1020 hours/week 5. Compensation & Contract Terms $105140/hour for U.S.-based applicants Youll be classified as an independent contractor 6.
