Job DescriptionConfiguration Support Engineer (In Service) - SubmarinesFull Time (On Site)Derby An exciting In-Service Configuration Support Engineer opportunity has arisen for a talented engineer to join our team in our Service Data Centre / Availability Centre based at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby.As the In-Service Configuration Engineer you will actively track assess and manage Rolls-Royce Submarines assets through configuration software and multi-site collaboration assisting in the nuclear deterrent operating as efficiently and safely as possible.Why Rolls-RoyceRolls-Royce is one of the most enduring and iconic brands in the world and has been at the forefront of innovation for over a century. As a minimum were all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons on average three days per week.What you will be doingAs an In-Service Configuration Engineer you will be:Managing and maintaining configuration records of all submarines currently in-build or in-service.Deliver author / technical checking of configuration control documentation as required by the business.Management of life limited components fitted on submarines.Liaise with site office to ensure a current and up to date record of boat asset inventory and serviceability status during maintenance periods.Make continual improvements to Maximo / In-Service Configuration processes.Respond to queries within the business to provide configuration guidance when required and support resolution of problems with the in-service and in-build fleet.Who were looking for:At Rolls-Royce we put safety first do the right thing keep it simple and make a difference.
