The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is pleased to be recruiting a Management Accountant Vacancy on the behalf of an established FMCG Business based in Wellingborough. This role will be reporting into the Financial Controller and will take ownership of the management accounting duties. This involves financial support and analysis to the UK Site, working closely with the Financial Controller on management accounts, internal controls, and timely reporting. Develop, update, and present financial dashboards to the sales and commercial team, analyse variances from previous periods and budgets, and support financial forecasting in alignment with business strategies.


As the successful Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Offer financial support and analysis to the UK Business Unit alongside Finance Analysts.
  • Collaborate with Finance and the sales and commercial team to implement commercial and business development strategies.
  • Prepare UK weekly accounts and management accounts.
  • Develop, update, and maintain financial performance dashboards for the business.
  • Assist in creating detailed and accurate budgets and forecasts and analyse and explain variances.
  • Lead bi-monthly category and customer reviews, providing the procurement and sales team with a long-term view of financial performance.
  • Ensure strict control over overheads and reconciliations.
  • Support continuous improvement projects.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the business and finance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and commercial policy.

Person Specification and Technical Competencies:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate and interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in BI and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Datastudio, Domo, SAP analytics)
  • Experience in financial analysis, reporting and management accounts
  • Desirable to have manufacturing experience
