We are looking for an innovative, PR & Events Specialist on a part-time basis, to join our growing team at The Smarty Train. Can you help generate interest in unique, dynamic and immersive learning experiences in virtual, face-to-face and digital formats? Do you want to help promote global learning journeys? Graduate programmes? Executive events? Pioneering training interventions? Then keep reading.


What would you do in this key role? Here is a snapshot:


PR:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key publications (trade, vertical, national & business)
  • Successfully launch TST’S new products in the press (e.g. ECO)
  • Drive awareness of TST’s proven L&D products even further in the market
  • Drive awareness of the wider cultural change / business transformation work TST does outside of the early careers space
  • Generate PR activity before, during and after TST events (HIVE, Webinars etc)


Events & Awards:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key conference organisers
  • Identify and coordinate all sponsorship and speaker ops
  • Organise all TST events from idea through to execution (i.e. HIVE, webinars etc)
  • Build and maintain relationships with key awards bodies
  • Identify the most relevant awards bodies and categories for TST
  • Manage the awards submission process from start to finish
  • Coordinate attendance and logistics for awards ceremony attendance

Do you have this experience?


  • 3+ years PR and Events experience, ideally in an agency, consulting or part of an in-house PR and/or Marketing team


With experience in the following areas:


  • Experience organising events of varying size and scale
  • Exposure to working directly with clients
  • Experienced in Media Relations & Social Media Management and current trends
  • Existing journalist contacts in the HR/business trade press and/or national press
