Working within a dynamic engineering environment, this role will play a key part in shaping the technology roadmap ensuring that infrastructure, security, and connectivity solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with business goals.You’ll act as a subject matter expert, guiding technical decisions, supporting transformation to cloud-based services, and driving best practices across the organisation’s network and infrastructure landscape.Role and Responsibilities:Define and implement the strategic direction for the company’s infrastructure and network architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT governanceLead the design, deployment, and management of secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environmentsOversee network strategy and performance, including capacity planning, segmentation, and disaster recovery designDevelop and maintain standards, policies, and procedures for infrastructure, networking, and security operationsDrive the adoption of modern cloud and hybrid networking technologies within the Azure ecosystemCollaborate with cybersecurity, operations, and project teams to ensure network and data security across all business locationsLead or provide technical oversight for infrastructure transformation projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integration initiativesDevelop and review technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, standards, and Low-Level Designs (LLDs)Advise senior management on emerging technologies and opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and resilienceMentor and support IT team members to build capability and ensure consistent technical excellenceEssential Skills & Experience:Proven experience in a senior infrastructure or network engineering role with strategic oversight responsibilitiesDeep understanding of network architecture and design principles, including routing, switching, and segmentationStrong knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and networking (VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute, hybrid connectivity)Experience developing and enforcing infrastructure standards and governance frameworksSolid understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security fundamentalsExpertise in Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administrationStrong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to translate complex technical requirements into business outcomesMicrosoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification or equivalent experienceDesirableExperience with Fortinet / FortiGate firewalls or other enterprise-grade security platformsKnowledge of SD-WAN or advanced WAN technologiesFamiliarity with Power Platform (PowerApps, Logic Apps, Dataverse) and Dynamics 365 Business CentralExperience with Windows Server, Exchange, and PowerShell automationAny Fortinet NSE certification (e.g., NSE 4+) or equivalent vendor certification is advantageous
