Responsibilities:Set up the CNC machines to produce the required part as per drawingBook onto jobSet up tools and load materials onto the machine.Download the program onto the CNC machine.Working from a drawing / model / code check the programme Operate the CNC machine and analyse the processes consult and adjust as requiredExamine and modify programmesProve out processesUndertake first-off inspectionTake accurate measurements of work pieces and ensure that the quality is good throughout the batchCheck for movement or tool wearOvercome production and manufacturing problems, referring up to Team Leader when necessaryLiaise with team leader to ensure most effective and efficient methods are used.Responsible for housekeeping of working areaReport to manager regarding tooling and material issuesEfficient time management (i.e. whilst machine is running).Conduct finishing processes e.g. Deburring, tapping, polishingTidy work areaAsk team leader to allocate assistance to another engineer / taskMake tea/coffee loo breaks during running timesSave proven programme to serverBook off jobAdhere to H&S Conduct oneself with integrity (always doing the right thing even when no one is looking)Collaborate for success (teamwork) Benefits:25 days paid holiday pro-rata, plus public holidays6% employer pension contribution to Nest company pension schemeQuarterly appraisal and discretionary bonus schemeEmployee referral schemeBike to work scheme3 times basic salary death in service benefit Working hours would be 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am - 1pm on Fridays.
