The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial record-keeping, with excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for accuracy. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining clients' financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the accounting team.Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments- Process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and preparing payroll reports- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other financial reports as required- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and year-end accounts- Liaise with clients to gather financial information and address any queries- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards- Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks as neededRequirements:- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices- Excellent organisational and time-management skills- High level of accuracy and attention to detail- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable but not essentialPackage:- Competitive salary and benefits package- A supportive and collaborative work environment- Regular social events- The chance to work with a diverse range of clients and industries- Flexible working hours and potential for remote workHow to Apply:If you are a meticulous and dedicated Bookkeeper looking to join a dynamic accounting firm, we would love to hear from you.
