Job Opportunity: Mechanical Package Engineer

Location: Head Office, Thornaby

Contract: Initial 3-month contract (with potential for review and extension)

Company Overview: Our client, a leading provider of multidisciplinary engineering design services, is seeking to hire Mechanical Package Engineers. This role involves ensuring that mechanical engineering deliverables and activities align with the client’s engineering procedures and core values.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and execution of mechanical engineering deliverables.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering procedures and standards.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to achieve project goals.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in the Oil & Gas offshore industry.
  • Technical Background: Designer background with sound technical expertise.
  • Standards and Codes: Proficiency in the selection of applicable codes, practices, standards, and statutory documentation.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of diligence and self-discipline.
  • Project Focus: Commitment to delivering projects on time and meeting company goals.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Teamwork: Strong teamworking skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Motivation: Highly motivated and self-reliant.


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without restrictions.
  • Residency within the North East area is required.
