We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join this dynamic Digital Agency. You will be responsible for managing and growing client accounts, ensuring retention, and driving upsells.
This agency's skills lie in the strategic use of content, SEO, large-scale outreach, and link building to obtain organic results for enterprise clients that match paid performance channels.
Working with a an impressive list of existing clients, including: Zendesk, Sage, RingCentral, Databricks etc this role is required due to ongoing agency growth
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals, financial calendar, and organizational structure.
- Ensure clients' success metrics are effectively communicated to the SEO strategist.
Team Leadership:
- Lead delivery teams to align with clients’ needs and expectations.
- Manage a team of client executives and virtual assistants, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development.
Commercial Management:
- Track client contract renewals and their impact on agency profit and loss.
- Create campaigns for contract renewals, performance reports, and projections to encourage continued or increased client budgets.
Project Management:
- Prioritize workloads based on commercial value and manage client expectations to keep projects within scope.
Company Structure Integration:
- Collaborate with project managers and SEO strategists to ensure cohesive client and agency performance.
- Focus on client retention and commercial aspects, working closely with the SEO strategist to deliver results.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience as a client manager (account manager) in a digital marketing or SEO agency.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in client retention and account growth (upselling).
- Proficiency in project management tools, preferably Asana.
- Experience in SEO or digital marketing as big bonus
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills, working with global teams
- Ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
- Experience managing clients in the USA and Europe desirable
