Key Responsibilities• Create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings. Basic knowledge of FEA is advantageous but not essential.• Interpret drawings and technical specifications to ensure full technical compliance. Liaise with engineering management and suppliers where needed to clarify requirements.• Perform or oversee qualification and development testing using both in-house and subcontracted facilities. Analyse test results to validate component and material performance.• Prepare and author qualification test procedures and reports.• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of existing products throughout their lifecycle.• Communicate progress clearly and effectively across the team. About You• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under clear guidance.• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, using first principles where appropriate.• Willing to take a hands-on approach to component development and testing.• Excellent communication skills, able to contribute to open, two-way discussions.• Comfortable working in both office and test-lab settings.• Flexible and able to work effectively within a dynamic, enthusiastic company culture.• Knowledge of Polymer Matrix Composites, including resins, fibres, manufacturing processes, and testing methods, is beneficial but not essential.
