Job Title: Associate – Real Estate Finance

My client, a boutique Real Estate Lender specialising in real estate finance, is known for delivering innovative, client-focused solutions.

With a commitment to excellence, they support property development, investment, and asset management strategies, serving a wide range of clients within the real estate sector.

They are currently seeking an Associate / Analyst within their Portfolio Monitoring Team to assist with the monitoring and management of a portfolio of existing real estate loans, through client interaction and assessment of borrower performance and real estate values. The role will also include forecasting, highlighting potential risks, monitoring early warning systems and initiating steps towards risk mitigation. An in-depth understanding of industry and prior experience of lending / credit would be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Risk Monitoring

  • Conducting detailed assessment of existing loan book on a regular basis to identify risk triggers and initiate risk mitigation processes.
  • Assisting with developing, monitoring and managing detailed dashboards covering financial statement analysis, variance analysis, covenant analysis and credit metrics
  • Conducting sensitivity and scenario analysis on projections for portfolio stress testing.
  • Creating monitoring reports and annual review reports with key metrics.

Client Servicing and Loan Management

  • Assisting with monitoring and managing the existing portfolio of real estate loans
  • Being the first point of contact for existing lending clients for requests relating to drawdowns, increases and amendments to existing loans (incl. covenants, extensions, etc.) and other loan related information and queries
  • Performing loan booking operations, including in life loan management activities, reviewing legal documents and supporting payment operations
  • Supporting investor management function by drafting investor updates based on latest management information and development progress reports.
