Teaching Assistant

We are an outstanding and unique secondary special school, looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs. If you are passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential, this could be your ideal next role.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support students aged 11-18 with a range of social, emotional, mental health, and behavioural needs.
  • Work in an education environment where behaviour can be challenging.
  • Operate under clear direction and use your own initiative to address student needs.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team to provide bespoke learning experiences.
  • Maintain patience, resilience, and composure in a challenging and demanding environment.
  • Meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations within the school setting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience or a strong interest in working with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the education and development of young people.
