Warehouse Team Leader

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating warehouse activities to ensure efficient accurate and safe handling of goods. This includes leading a team maintaining high standards of productivity and quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership and SupervisionLead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve operational targets.Schedule work delegate tasks and monitor performance.Provide training and coaching to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Warehouse Operations ManagementOversee the receipt storage picking and dispatch of goods.Ensure inventory accuracy through regular checks and audits.Coordinate with other departments to resolve stock or order discrepancies.Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet demand.Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in warehouse operations.Implement best practices and support continuous improvement projects.Safety and ComplianceEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards promptly.Reporting and CommunicationMaintain accurate records of warehouse activities including stock movements and incident reports.Communicate effectively with management and other teams to address operational needs.About YouKey Skills and CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skills.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word).Strong communication skills both verbal and written.Qualifications and ExperienceDiploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree in logistics or supply chain is a plus).Proven experience in a warehouse environment with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
