Graduate Chemical Engineer / Application Engineer

This is an exceptional opportunity for a graduate chemical or mechanical engineer to work within the fluid handling division of Crane Co. (www.craneco.com), a US multinational which specialises in highly engineered products in niche markets exposing you to a high level of responsibility and visibility with exceptional career opportunities for high performers. The role is within Crane ChemPharma and Energy (www.cranecpe.com) who design and manufacture a variety of high performance valves. Your role as IDV Applications Specialist will be to provide technical expertise by application, identify distinct competitive advantage versus competitors and provide training and education to sales teams and customers. The breadth of the role will give you fast development working closely and continuous challenge. As well as technical and applications support for sales with direct customer contact you will support to ensure competitive edge by product development and new applications. This role will test and develop your commercial and business acumen as well as your technical competence.

Requirements: A Degree in Chemical Engineering (or masters/doctorate), you will be graduating in 2024 or have graduated in the last 12 months. This may be your first role or you may feel constrained by your current role and want to make a greater overall contribution to a business whilst utilising your technical expertise. Whilst you may not have any commercial experience you will need a good business understanding. Inevitably you will need to have exceptional interpersonal, relationship and communication skills and have a thirst to learn and be challenged.
You will be based in Cwmbran, Wales, where the Saunders brand is headquartered but international travel will be required.
