Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Appian Server/Platform Administrator with a strong expertise in troubleshooting, performance analysis, and platform administration. This role requires a thorough understanding of Appian's infrastructure, processes, and best practices. The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on our Appian platform, ensuring optimal performance, efficient configurations, and streamlined support for the development teams. This role also entails collaboration with other system administrators and support teams ensuring a reliable and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Troubleshooting & Optimization:


  • Diagnose and resolve complex Appian performance issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of server and system utilization, identifying and mitigating bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze system health, providing early diagnosis of potential performance issues.


Appian Process & Object Efficiency Review:


  • Identify underperforming or inefficiently designed process models and Appian objects affecting overall platform stability.
  • Conduct Appian health checks and apply best practices to validate development efficiency, providing recommendations for improvements.


Appian Installation, Configuration & Maintenance:


  • Perform installations (version upgrade/ hotfix deployments), environment setup, and configurations of Appian across multiple environments.
  • Manage Appian servers and ensure consistent, high-performance operation through scheduled maintenance, updates, and tuning.


Application Migration & Deployment:


  • Coordinate and execute application migrations across environments, ensuring data integrity and continuity during each transition.
  • Develop and manage the Appian deployment process and admin console configurations to support seamless application delivery.


Appian SME & Development Guidance:


  • Act as the primary Appian SME, advising the Appian development team on best practices and providing optimal development strategies.
  • Validate applications’ adherence to standards and recommend improvements for enhanced performance and efficiency.


System Integration & CI/CD Pipeline Exposure:


  • Collaborate with integrated and connected systems, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing inter-platform compatibility.
  • Bring hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline processes to streamline deployment and version control for Appian applications.


Qualifications:


  • Extensive experience in Appian platform administration, server management, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in performance optimization, root cause analysis, and Appian environment configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of Appian development best practices and health check analysis.
  • Proven experience in application migration, deployment processes, and Appian admin console management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline processes and integrated system configurations (preferred).
