Senior Civil Engineer (Hybrid – Congleton)


As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role throughout the entire project lifecycle, from land acquisition to construction and operation. You’ll be part of a close-knit engineering team collaborating with architects, project managers, buyers, and construction personnel.


The ideal candidate will have:


  • A registered Chartered Engineer (CEng) or be working towards.
  • A minimum BEng(Hons) in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Ability to act as a Lead Civil Engineer with minimal supervision.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant design codes and guidance documents.
  • Experience in managing the application of statutory agreements.
  • A strong technical ability and commercial awareness.
  • Preferable to have good experience of using Autodesk software.


Key responsibilities:


  • Design roads, car parking, drainage, hard landscaping and temporary works.
  • Produce earthworks details and calculate cut/fill quantities.
  • Lead liaison with external bodies for drainage and highway section agreements.
  • Liaise with contractors for earthworks, demolition, remediation, drainage connections, diversions, and highway works.
  • Liaise with geo-environmental consultants for site investigations, remediation, materials management and site validation.
