***Who is Senior Aerospace Bird Bellows?**

Based in Congleton, Cheshire, Senior Aerospace Bird Bellows was established in 1975 as a family run operation serving the petro-chemical and gas industries. Since then, we have evolved to become one of the industry leaders in the design, development and manufacture of pressure duct systems, flexible joints and insulation for highly regulated industries. We have established customers in aerospace (both civil and military), as well as in the nuclear, oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

**What does the job involve?**

Key duties and responsibilities:

- Packaging of products ready for shipment in accordance with relevant customer packing specifications and/or the Packing Manual, using approved packaging media
- Packing in accordance with planned delivery schedules or as the priority order specified by the Logistics Controller
- Ensuring product is packed at the required and correct quantity for each shipment
- Final checking of product prior to packing to ensure it is free from damage and foreign object inclusions
- Printing and attaching product identification labels
- Loading and unloading of transport vehicles using safe manual handling techniques or using forklift truck vehicles where necessary
- Ensure that goods are off-loaded, transported, protected, stored, packed and shipped in accordance with Company’s Integrated Management Procedures, to prevent deterioration or damage
- Ensure all storage and handling activities are conducted safely

**What key skills, experience and qualifications do I need?**

Experience and knowledge

Essential
- Experienced in working within a logistics facility
- Experience of working with various IT systems for work loading and booking processes

Desirable
- Experienced in using logistics storage and material handling systems

Qualifications and training

Essential
- GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent

Job related skills and abilities

Essential
- Ability to inspect work to both company and customer standards
- Methodical approach with ability to self-manage workload to optimise efficiency
- Strong Numerical reasoning and control

Desirable
- FLT Licence
