More systems are being developed and delivered for Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. We have additional Maritime UK sites across Burgess Hill Barrow-In-Furness and Portchester. Together we are powering the Royal Navys adoption of autonomous surface vehicle technology as well as delivering autonomous capability to UK ports harbours and offshore energy service providers.A few of our employee benefits are:Hybrid working where possible three days onsite per weekHalf day finish on a Friday25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays) increasing with long service and with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days Private medical insurance with optional family coverPension scheme of up to 7% employer contributionLife Assurance 4x salary (flexible up to 10x) Group income protectionFlexible opt-in extras such as a health care cash plan dental insurance gym membership critical illness cover and cycle to work schemeEmployee assistance program providing mental health and wellbeing support Professional membership reimbursement (discretionary) What the role will involveThe responsibilities of your role will include the following:The Supply Chain authority for all programmes and bids within the business.Champion Supply Chain within the business as a value creatorLead and direct the Supply Chain team providing guidance and coaching to enable them to develop and complete their assignments.Provide strategic direction to the supply chain team and foster a forward-thinking culture with focus on policy and strategy implementationand improvement.Determine developand managestrategic supplier relationships (SRM)Development of new processes and business systems with a continuous improvement approach to create efficiencies within the business and the achievement of overall functional / business results.Establish operational plans and objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results(KPIs).Support advise and assist Program Managersand business leaderson all Supply Chain aspectsCommunicate within and outside of the organisation to explain and influence changes to policies practices or approaches.Collaborate withCorporateand Supply Chain global colleaguesto ensure consistent strategy and solutions in line with corporate requirements and policies.Support the business in providing supply chain resources/capabilities to execute all program and business needs and ensure full utilisation.Provide timely inputs to all Corporate reporting requirements.Provide detailed updates to the Senior Management Team on all supply chain activityas part of the site SLTWhat youll bring The role requires the following experience and skills:Comprehensive knowledge and skills within the Supply Chain discipline and has a broad understanding of other functional job roles.Experience of communication and contract negotiation at senior levelsPrioritise own workload and that of others to achieve objectivesDelegation of tasks to suit team capabilitiesImportant to knowDue to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
