Role Overview

The Global Distribution Sales Director will lead and expand TechPoint | Golledge's worldwide distribution network. This strategic role focuses on driving growth through effective channel management, building strong distributor relationships, and maximising sales of our frequency control products in key markets. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence to achieve ambitious sales targets.



Key Responsibilities

1.      Distribution Strategy Development:

o  Develop and implement a comprehensive global distribution strategy aligned with business growth objectives.

o  Identify and onboard new distribution partners to expand TechPoint | Golledge's market reach.

2.      Distributor Relationship Management:

o  Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing distribution partners to ensure alignment with sales goals.

o  Conduct regular business reviews and provide performance feedback to distributors.

3.      Sales Growth and Target Achievement:

o  Drive sales through the distribution network to meet and exceed revenue targets.

o  Develop strategic plans for market expansion and penetration in key regions.

4.      Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:

o  Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

o  Provide insights and recommendations to influence product and marketing strategies.

5.      Training and Enablement:

o  Support distributors with product training, sales enablement tools, and technical resources to ensure effective product positioning and customer support.

6.      Collaboration with Internal Teams:

o  Work closely with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure distributors have the necessary support and information.

o  Collaborate on promotional activities and campaigns to boost market awareness.

7.      Reporting and Performance Management:

o  Develop and deliver regular reports on distribution sales performance, market insights, and forecasts.

o  Implement KPIs to measure distributor effectiveness and take corrective action as necessary.

8.      Travel Requirements:

o  Regular UK and international travel to meet with distribution partners, attend trade shows, and explore new market opportunities.



Qualifications and Experience

·      Experience:

o  Minimum 7-10 years in sales leadership roles, with a focus on global distribution and channel management.

o  Experience in the frequency control products, electronics components, or related sectors is highly desirable.

·      Education:

o  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

·      Skills and Competencies:

o  Proven track record of developing and executing global distribution strategies.

o  Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.

o  Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make strategic decisions.

o  Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

o  Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and surpassing sales targets.

o  Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., PipeDrive, SalesForce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

o  Self-motivated, with high levels of initiative and drive.

o  Culturally aware and able to work effectively across diverse geographies.

o  Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to dynamic market conditions.
