Job Role: Client ManagerLocation : Pinner Salary: £40k - £50kOur client is a progressive and dynamic chartered accountancy practice based in Pinner with over 25 years of experience. Our team of 25 takes a proactive approach that drives forward our clients' financial and business interests, within a caring and confidential environment. They pride themselves on being accessible and loyal to each client's unique circumstances, with a particular specialism in pharmacy, dentistry, medical, retail, and construction sectors.Their policy is simple: if you need urgent assistance, a senior member of the practice will always be available to listen, support and advise.The Role:We're looking for a Client Manager to join our clients team and take ownership of a varied client portfolio. This is a hands-on role where you'll be the main point of contact for your clients, managing everything from day-to-day queries through to statutory accounts and providing proactive business advice. You'll be managing a mix of in-house work and overseeing the review of outsourced bookkeeping from their team of 22 outsourced staff. This means you'll be preparing accounts, reviewing statutory accounts, and ensuring everything is completed to their high standards whilst building strong, trusted relationships with your clients.What You'll Be Doing:Managing your own portfolio of clients, acting as their primary contact and trusted advisorPreparing and reviewing accounts, including statutory accounts that have been worked up from outsourced bookkeepingReviewing management accounts and financial information prepared by the outsourced teamLiaising with clients to understand their businesses and providing practical advice on financial and business mattersSupervising and reviewing work from junior team members and outsourced staffPreparing corporation tax computations and liaising with clients on tax planning mattersBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communicationEnsuring all deadlines are met and work is completed to the highest technical standardsIdentifying opportunities to add value and support clients' business growthWhat We're Looking ForACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience with substantial practice experience)At least 3-4 years of experience working within an accountancy practiceStrong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and reviewConfident managing client relationships and dealing with queries independentlyExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesA proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solvingStrong attention to detail and a commitment to qualityGood communication skills, both written and verbalExperience reviewing work from outsourced or offshore teams would be beneficialCCH software experience is desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer:Office-based initially with hybrid working available after the first few weeks once you're settled inCompetitive salary based on experienceThe opportunity to work with a well-established practice with a loyal client baseA supportive, collaborative team environment where ongoing training and development is encouragedExposure to a diverse range of clients across multiple sectorsThe chance to build meaningful, long-term client relationshipsA practice that genuinely values work-life balanceNext StepsIf you're an experienced practice accountant looking for your next step and you'd like to be part of a dynamic team that truly values client relationships and quality work, we'd love to hear from you.
